Extremely Busy Week

Well, it's been a little while. Mostly because it's been busy. At least this time I have more than a single image to toss up.

Strangely enough, none of them are actually from any assignments. They were taken at assignments, but not for the assignment.

I was all over today shooting Supreme Court Justices visiting town, random schools for different stuff going on. Golf courses for a banquet, part of a "ghost" tour, an entirely different county for an extremely boring and pointless event, but if I'm invited I have to go.

Well, this fountain looked awesome and I had to take a picture of it. A lot of this town is very historic and thus carries with it a look of extreme detail which just isn't found in modern architecture and design. I love the process of making things, sometimes even more than the actual final piece.

Directly above said fountain, an amazing stain glass ceiling. This was stretched and skewed a lot to make it more symetrical since my physical position in the room and the distortion of a wide angle lens made things look off. This was also shot at night so I'm planning on going back and shooting the same spot in daylight to get the glow of the light through the window.

Ok, last thing is a portrait that I took, partially for an assignment, but more or less I've manipulated it to the point of it being MY image.

Above is the black and white version and below is the color original.

hopefully I'll get some photos up from the assignments from today and maybe previous days.

I love the quality of the light on both photos of this young lady. Nice!
