An Update!

It's been busy, again. But that's the way the news is.

The coolest stuff that I covered was yesterday and today.

This is funny, I just got done covering this story earlier this afternoon. It was a right to life rally with a silent demonstration around the city courthouse.

It's funny to me mostly because of how weird it is that children are given signs that use phrases like these. I'm not positive, but I doubt that most kids at this age really understand the issue of abortion to the extent that their parents should be taking them to rallies.

Got to spend a lot of time shooting an air show which had a B-17 Flying Fortress on display. I spent more than enough time inside of that tiny thing. The plane is huge, but there's little to no room in there.

My wide angle lens makes it look a lot more spacious than it was.
This was a shot that I think is ok, but I can see the image I wanted in my head but couldn't get.

The sun was so strong and direct that I had a really rough time with hot spots on people.

This guy is looking into the belly gunner position of the bomber. That space is probably only about 2 feet wide, with a door that's half that.

The thing is amazingly small. Memphis Belle anyone?

After that was Oktoberfest... and lots of it.

I shot a lot and spent a lot of time shooting those shots.

It was fun to just wander a festival and see different things, different people, different acts.

I couldn't believe how many OSU jerseys I saw as I walked the grounds. It was game day so I wasn't exactly suprised, but it was a sea of red in some areas.

The beer tray relays are almost always the big event. There's a lot of funny moments and people are always happy to watch others make fools of themselves.

I didn't get to capture anyone doing any major spilling. I was always on the wrong side of the square. It sucked.

There were some hopes dashed and some underdogs did come out triumphant during some of the matches.

Well, that's all I've got for this post.

I did end up posting my OSU game day post the other day, no photos, but it tells some of the story from my eye. You can go here to read it if you wish.
